On September 25th, we hosted an online event for participants of our project from Mexico, Columbia, Peru, and Ecuador. Fifty-five people joined in total, including forty-two students, eight teachers, and five project ambassadors.
The participants met with teachers and each other, received small gifts, and enjoyed the cake. This was our first such encounter, and we would like those who take part in the project to learn more about it and about each other. The BeginIT volunteers talked about the history behind the project, highlighted our achievements, and shared our vision and goals.
Volunteer Gabriela Bernal shares her thoughts about the event,
"I'm happy to be part of this project. I helped organize the meeting with those children who participate in BeginIT in Latin American countries. This meetup gave us the opportunity to socialize and relax. We were also able to tell them a bit more about the project and the company.
BeginIT is a great social and educational project that supports children and allows them to examine their view of the world and to better understand their future life journey. I feel that this meetup did motivate them and that they were all happy. I hope that in the future, we will have more of these events".
During the meetup, the participants wished us a happy birthday.
Later, the children talked about themselves, what jobs they would like to do in the future and why they enjoyed programming. The meetup continued in a fun atmosphere, with everyone being active and enjoying making new friends from other places.
We are excited to share the photos in the hope of bringing that atmosphere to you.
