BeginIT is turning 8!
28 September 2020, Monday

Today, September 28th, the social and educational project BeginIT is celebrating its anniversary.

Exactly 8 years ago, in 2012, the Sinet Team created this project in line with its mission and values. BeginIT's goal is to identify capable children from orphanages, residential schools and rural schools, and to provide them with extra teaching and tech industry career guidance. We want to give these children an education and a foundation that will allow them to reach their full potential in the future. BeginIT's primary motivation is its participants' success and achievements.

BeginIT offers more than just training — the learning process here has a broad scope. In addition to holding a variety of events, excursions, and workshops for children, we also equip their institutions with computer classrooms and robotics clubs. Shortly after the project was created, we included classes with key Sinet Team experts as part of the project's program.

Over the past two years, the project has conducted a distance learning program on a dedicated platform. In 2019, the project went international, beginning operations in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, India, and Indonesia.
We also teach information security and digital literacy, organize flash mobs, and offer prizes to the best participants.

Currently, nearly 90 educational institutions are taking part in the project, with that number constantly growing. We hope to expand BeginIT's geographic reach and find like-minded people around the world. We're currently inviting new participants for the 2020-2021 school year. To participate in the project, you just have to have a group of 10 children aged 12 to 16 who are interested in programming. Create a schedule and find a group leader. If you want to participate, fill out an application on our website, and we'll contact you.

Happy anniversary to all of our participants, group leaders, teachers, and volunteers! Thank you for your passion and desire to grow with us!
